Rescheduling Games
Poor weather or conflicts with scheduled tournaments are two reasons why occasionally games will need to be rescheduled. Rescheduling games should not be done simply for convenience nor because a team is missing a certain player. The regular season schedule is a set length, and it can be challenging to find mutually available ice that does not force a team to play too many games in a short period. Always use rescheduling a game as a last result and follow UOVMHL guidelines found in the Constitution.
PERMISSIONS
Team Managers do not have the ability to modify games in the league schedule. All games requesting to be rescheduled must go through the appropriate UOVMHL convenor for review. If approved, the request will be forwarded to the home team’s association Ice Allocator who will facilitate the change.
Ice Allocator – Home Team is the only person who can modify games on the schedule and can only do so for home games within their association.
TEAM MANAGER: I NEED TO RESCHEDULE A GAME – NOW WHAT?
Complete the reschedule request form by selecting the age division below. This will ensure the request is sent to the appropriate convenor.
You will need the date, time, game number, and venue. Be sure to include enough detail as to the reason why (ie tournament scheduled, weather, etc). If the change is being requested for other reasons, include the steps you have taken to resolve the issue prior to making the request (ie goalie absent, AP is not available, unable to find emergency goalie, etc).
