Please use ADD PLAYER FROM SEASON rather than creating a new player. Only create a new player if they do not already exist in GameSheet, or if you do not have the Add Player option. Note that HEO does not appear to be set up as an organization in the Import Roster from HCR option.
How to use ADD PLAYER FROM SEASON ROSTER function:
When you log into GameSheet Teams, in the upper right corner select the drop down menu from your name and choose:
Switch to League Dashboard. From there you will be able to access the
Add Player From Season Roster.
Search for the players name. If there are multiple entries for the name, select the player that has the HCR number (around 13 digits) as their external ID. If none have the HCR number, select one and eventually the duplicate entries will be merged.
If no player is located during the search, ensure you have the correct spelling and if so, then create a new player.
Updating HCR Number:
Managers will be responsible for updating the players that do not have the HCR number listed. The HCR number will be on your team's Official Roster available from your association registrar. If you do not have HCR numbers at this time, it can be done later.
With each player, select
Edit Player Profile (not just the Edit button on the side). Update the External ID to the players HCR number and save. Note that if you try this with only the Edit button, the change will not save.
